What can I expect on my first visit?

The first thing Dr. Connelly will do is ask about your chief complaint. He will also ask questions about your family history, diet habits, occupational duties, medical history and other questions designed to help determine the nature of your illness and the best way to go about treating your problem.

Dr. Connelly will perform a physical examination along with x-rays and other diagnostic procedures. In addition a careful spinal exam will be performed to detect any structural problems which may be affecting or causing your condition. All of these elements are vital to accurately evaluate your problem.

If we find your problem does not relate to chiropractic care we will refer you to a specialist. Dr. Connelly has a working relationship with all of the physicians in the Montgomery County area and several orthopedics, neurosurgeons, and neurologists.

If we find your problem relates to chiropractic care then we will proceed with a series of chiropractic adjustments and appropriate therapeutic treatments and exercises designed to relieve your condition.

Doctor's report of findings

Your second visit with us is the most important time you will spend in your chiropractic experience. The purpose of this appointment is to explain and discuss the findings of your recent chiropractic evaluation, to let you know if you need chiropractic care, how long it will take, how often you will need to come in and how much it will cost.

In just a few minutes we will introduce you to a brief and informative video which will teach you about chiropractic's unique approach to optimal health, show you what a healthy spine looks like on an x-ray and a few not so healthy examples. At the conclusion we will individually show you your own spinal x-rays and explain any problems that exist or are developing, how many subluxations you have, tell you if we will be accepting you as a patient and if so, get started today with your first advanced chiropractic corrective adjustment.

How long will it take?

Advancement in chiropractic correction techniques has drastically reduced correction times. Most spines require a minimum of 12 - 18 months of corrective care... sometimes longer in more severe cases, or less in younger or less severe cases.

How often will I need to be seen?

Spinal subluxations have an unfortunate history of elasticizing back into their old patterns if you are not adjusted often enough during the first 90 days of a 12 month process. So, initially most patients need to be seen three times weekly. For the remainder of the correction period, visit frequency gradually reduces to one visit weekly until maximum correction is achieved. No changes in the frequency of your adjustment will be made randomly. Re-evaluations and at times, re-x-rays will define the progress which will prompt a change in your frequency of adjustment and application of homework.

How much will it cost?

If you are accepted for care, fees will be discussed with you individually and our payment plans will be explained to you. Most of our families find our fee arrangements fit within their budgets or savings. If you are committed to improving your health chiropractically, we are committed to making flexible arrangements to help you and your family receive the best we have to offer.

A healthy investment

People who maintain their spine regularly are far healthier then those who don't. They feel better, get sick less often, get well faster, recover from injuries more quickly, have stronger immune systems, see doctors less often, often require little or no prescription medications and rarely develop cancer, heart attacks or strokes.

Add it all up and one comes to understand why chiropractic is an investment that is good for life!
